Planetary Integrity Foundation

Founding Brief

An initial outline of the purpose, technical direction and founding priorities of Planetary Integrity Foundation.

Purpose

Planetary Integrity Foundation is being created to build open, verifiable intelligence infrastructure that helps humanity understand the systemic consequences of material decisions before they become damage.

The premise is simple: decisions affecting climate, water, land, biodiversity and resources should be evaluated against connected planetary and local constraints before action, not only after consequences emerge.

Initial direction

The initiative is preparing three connected foundations:

  1. Planetary Decision Integrity Protocol — an open technical protocol for assessing material decisions before harm.
  2. Kairo — the working name for a planned Consequence Intelligence Engine applying the protocol.
  3. Open governance — a foundation-led model designed for transparency, independence and public trust.

Consequence Intelligence

Consequence Intelligence describes an AI-assisted capacity to understand, compare and verify systemic consequences before action. It is intended to make assumptions visible, evidence traceable and decision checks auditable.

This direction is at an early stage. The protocol has not yet been finalized, and Kairo remains a planned engine under definition.

Founding priorities

The current priorities are to prepare the first protocol draft, define an appropriate governance model, develop this founding brief and convene a contributor circle with relevant technical, scientific, institutional and public-interest experience.

Participate

We welcome careful conversations with prospective founding contributors, advisors and institutions aligned with open, verifiable intelligence for planetary decision integrity.
